On June 23, 2020, Dawn Kirby joins the esteemed faculty of the Suffolk Academy of Law on the Annual Bankruptcy Update. Faculty includes Hon. Alan S. Trust, Hon. Robert E. Grossman, Hon. Louis A. Kirby Aisner & Curley Advises Good Noodles Inc. (dba Sfoglini) in its Asset Sale

May 5, 2020

Kirby Aisner & Curley LLP represented Chapter 11 Good Noodles Inc. d/b/a Sgoglini, a manufacturer of high quality artisanal pasta based out of the Hudson Valley, New York. 

Prior to the Chapter 11 filing, notwithstanding steady growth, Good Noodles struggled with the debt it took on to grow the company. Good Noodles filed for Chapter 11 relief to undertake a strategic transaction through a Chapter 11 process where a sale of its assets could be accomplished free and clear of all liens, claims and encumbrances with protections for the buyer post-closing.

On November 18, 2019, Good Noodles closed on the sale of its Assets to De Angelis USA Corp. 

Following the sale, a Liquidating Chapter 11 Plan was filed and confirmed by Chief Judge Cecelia G. Morris on May 5, 2020.
